Marty Mayes

Marqavius “Marty” Mayes, affectionately known as Pastor Marty, was born and raised in Griffin, Georgia, where he is the fourth of six children.

Driven by a passion to help people discover their God-given purpose, Pastor Marty founded Purposed Movement in September 2021 as a young adult Bible study. What began as a small gathering has since grown into Purposed Movement Church, which officially launched in January 2024.

Pastor Marty is known for preaching with a deep commitment to biblical truth, practical application, and Kingdom principles that inspire lasting life transformation. His ministry is centered on fulfilling The Great Commission (Matthew 28:18–20) while living out The Great Commandment (Matthew 22:36–40), equipping people to know Christ, grow in their faith, and walk confidently in their God-given purpose.

He has a genuine heart for discipleship and community outreach, believing the Church is more than a place of worship—it is a place where lives are transformed, families are strengthened, leaders are developed, and people are empowered to impact the world for the Kingdom of God.

In September 2025, Pastor Marty published his first book, The Me I Didn’t Know, a devotional designed to help readers discover their identity in Christ and experience personal transformation.

In addition to serving in ministry, Pastor Marty is a bivocational leader with professional experience in the corporate sector and has completed studies in Biblical Studies and Christian Leadership through Liberty University and Southeastern University.

Above all, Pastor Marty considers one of his greatest blessings to be serving as the father of his son, Kaysen Isaiah.

His greatest desire is to see people encounter Jesus, embrace Kingdom culture, and become everything God created them to be.
